About LDUG
Not much to say just yet, as this is a brain bubble that erupted
recently. The impetus was
this post on the
Internet Tablet Talk forum (props to
tableteer!) that urged tablet users in a certain locale to meet
up and share experiences. I realized in that instant that what
was needed was an international users group for Linux-based portable
devices, and the LDUG acronym came to mind. Of course, any
invention needs to be checked against prior art, so I plumbed Google
for an existing entity.
There was none.
So obviously I had to create one. I registered this domain with my host, 1and1.com, on a [embarrassing disclosure] Windows server account [/embarrassing disclosure], Yeah, I realize this destroys credibility right out of the gate so I'll have to relocate eventually. Or, I could maintain the status quo just to irritate Microsoft.
A poll is probably required here...
